When you ask a chatbot about Minnesota today, part of the answer is already built from Minnesota journalism — and the newsroom that did the reporting gets no reader, no credit, no dollar. This prototype demonstrates the other way. Today it answers from hand-verified public records in four Minnesota places — your taxes, your streets, your schools, before decisions are final — and says "we don't know" about everything else. The full version would answer from nineteen years of MinnPost's own reporting: a plain answer, the story attached, and a person behind it who answers what the machine can't.
